Pretty Ponds and Waterfalls - Biography / Interview Transcript

Hi, my name is Shannon Pretty, and I'm with Pretty Ponds and Waterfalls. We build water features, any size, that are customized to the homeowner's needs and wants. We're a high-end water feature designer. We do everything from the design process to construction and consultation. We do do some interior, mostly is exterior. We do residential and commercial also. The thing that we get the most is the sound. People find them so relaxing, and you know, after a hard day at work, a stressful day, to be able to go home and sit down by the water feature, and just listen to the sound of the moving water, people find it extremely relaxing. Also, just the beauty of them themselves. The water feature is such a beautiful thing, and it adds such a, such a different aspect to a yard that you just can't get out of any other any other element in the yard. People have absolutely loved our water features. The they come back and tell me how much time they spend, you know, just wasting away an afternoon, sitting down by the water feature. They bring so much, if there's animals that come by, they have birds that come by that never used to go into the yard before, people just really love them. With the way ponds are built now, the materials have really come down. It's not as expensive as people think that they would be. We get that quite a bit. When, you know, when I go out and talk to a customer about exactly what they want, and they expect it to be a lot more than it actually is. The materials have come down so much, and just the way they're built now is, makes them very affordable for anybody who's interested in having one. We can put a water feature anywhere. You know, there does have to be electricity close by to run the pump. We have we work with an electrical contractor who, you know, who can really run power to anywhere that we need it to be. We start out with a pile of rocks and a rubber liner, and the, you know, what we make out of that, it just blows people away, and it's good to see their reactions when they see the finished project. People just people people absolutely love it.
